Social activity

The participants can choose between two social activities.

1. Aiguille du midi 

Completed in 1955, the first cable car takes you to an altitude of 1,030 m. After flying over the forest, a second ropeway takes you up to the impressive Aiguille Du Midi. After 10 minutes, you'll find yourself at an altitude of 3,842 m. Enjoy a view of the Mont-Blanc massif and feel the immensity of the mountain.

2. Panoramic Montenvers - Mer de glace (CANCELLED)

The social activity "Panoramic Montenvers - Mer de Glace" has been cancelled and replaced by a guided tour of the Emosson Dam.

2. Emosson Dam and guided tour of Vallorcine Power Plant Facilities

The Emosson dam, constructed between 1969 and 1973, is situated within a significant hydroelectric complex spanning Switzerland and France. Two hydropower facilities contribute nearly 3% of Switzerland's electricity production. Hydropower is a domestically sourced, renewable, storable, flexible, and carbon-free energy resource. Emosson Lake, containing 225 million cubic meters of water, ranks as Switzerland's second-largest artificial reservoir.
